After years of dance and distance running, Katie experienced power yoga for the first time and was intrigued. She loved the way it integrated movement with strength and admired its ability to engage both body, mind and spirit. Slowly, that amazing "feeling" she got after a yoga class started to create tangible changes in her life. Yoga resonates with her passions to explore that which connects us to each other, to restore balance and to continually grow.
Katie completed her 200-hour teacher training in Power Vinyasa at CorePower Yoga in Chicago. Katie also currently works as an Occupational Therapist/Certified Hand Therapist at the Hand and Upper Body Rehabilitation Center in Erie, treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders using movement as medicine. Drawing from her love of anatomy and amazement with the healing capacity of the human body, Katie's classes emphasize alignment and self-discovery. She enjoys creating environments for all to thrive.
