Jill Crawford Murphey

RYT 200

Jill Murphey, the owner of yogaErie LLC, discovered yoga years ago, but it wasn’t until after the birth of her fourth son that she dedicated herself to the practice. Yoga has transformed her life and she enjoys sharing her passion for the practice with everyone around her. Jill completed her 200 hour teacher training program through YogaFit, a Yoga Alliance approved school, in March of 2009. In 2010, Jill furthered her yoga education and training with Amazing Yoga in Pittsburgh lead by Karen and Sean Conley, completing the Level One power vinyasa yoga teacher training. In March 2012, she traveled to Mexico for Advanced Teacher Training with Karen & Sean, completing an additional 100 hours training.  Jill also traveled to Costa Rica in December 2016 to participate in the first ever Level 3 Teacher Training, again with Karen & Sean.  She is very grateful for her training and support from Karen and Sean...Amazing Yoga was the inspiration for yogaErie!  Jill also regularly attends weekend intensive training weekends with Baptiste Yoga, including Art of True North Alignment, Art of Assisting and Being of Power.  

Jill teaches a vinyasa style of yoga, focusing on flow, strength, grace and power, while at the same time encouraging students to respect their bodies. Her classes are challenging but she is able to offer modifications so that each student is comfortable and confident in each posture. 

When she is not teaching or practicing yoga, Jill is raising her four boys, Charlie, Teddy, Harry & Archie, with her dedicated husband Craig. She has taught at Gannon University as an adjunct faculty member, teachimng Intro to Yoga as a college course. Jill also serves as Judge of Elections for her polling district in Fairview, and spends as much time as she can at Edinboro Lake with her family. 

Through yogaErie, Jill is able to share her passion with others in the hope that they too will find themselves transformed by the power of yoga.

Amy Karlein Griffith

Registered Yoga Teacher - 200

Yoga was a natural progression for Amy after 7 years of dancing professionally in New York City. She has had the great honor of performing as a Radio City Rockette for 3 seasons, dancing on Broadway in the musical “42nd St.” and touring the country with “Spamalot.” While in New York, Amy completed her yoga training from Sonic Yoga, Center for Yoga Studies (200 hours) and The Prenatal Yoga Center (60 hours.) With the birth of her son Wesley, at home, Amy understood the power of breath, focus and relaxation in a whole new way. Yoga has changed her life in more positive ways than she can count. Amy also has a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Her extensive dance experience lends a thorough understanding of the body and how it moves. Amy’s classes flow with creativity and focus on proper alignment. Safely teaching inversions is also one of her passions. When the time is right, she loves celebrating a student’s first headstand, backbend or flight in crow pose! Yoga is an ongoing practice where you come to your mat to experience life in a whole new way. Amy is honored to be a part of the yogaErie community and continues to learn from and is inspired by it’s students regularly. 

Heather Celio

Registered Yoga Teacher 200

Heather Celio found yoga while searching for the next great workout. Surprised by how yoga transformed the way she felt about all areas of her life, a healthy addiction was born. Yoga is her passion and Heather believes that yoga is not just what happens on your mat but a lifestyle that brings a sense of peace to all you do. 
Heather completed the Amazing Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training in Power Vinyasa at Amazing Yoga in March of 2012. A resident of Erie, she received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Edinboro University and is the Childcare Director at the Downtown YMCA. 
Heather enjoys teaching and views it as an opportunity to share her passion and energy for yoga.

Stacey Skala Orr

E-RYT 200


Stacey Orr has been teaching yoga since 2010, when she moved to Pennsylvania after completing her yoga teacher training at the Ananda Ashram in California, where she had the incredible experience of living and serving alongside yogis who have dedicated their lives to studying, practicing and teaching raja yoga under the lineage of their guru Paramahansa Yogananda. This experience planted a deep seed of using yoga as a tool and system for conscious living. Stacey's background in practicing Baptiste yoga for years prior to becoming certified are evident in her signature teaching style of mindful, present and heart-centered vinyasa yoga. Stacey is also certified in Reiki (levels one and two) and has had the incredible honor of studying with several master teachers over the past decade at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Wellness, Amazing Yoga, and Wanderlust Hollywood. Stacey is also the Founder/CEO of Stinky Yogi, a yoga inspired aromatherapy and natural beauty line. When not teaching at her home studio in Erie, PA she is usually found as a vendor at Wanderlust festivals and other yoga events across the country.




Christine Arreola

Health and exercise have always been a central part of my life, being a Registered Nurse who worked in a Neurology/Neurosurgery unit and someone who has always enjoyed working out.

Unlike most yoga teachers, I didn’t love or even like my first yoga class. Shortly after yogaErie opened, a friend recommended that I try their hot, power vinyasa flow yoga class. This type of yoga was completely different from my first experience. I was hooked from day one. I left the class feeling exhausted but also empowered! The physical practice challenged and brought me back to my mat. With time, I began to experience a mind, body, and spirit connection. It is this connection that keeps me practicing.

Wanting a better understanding and knowledge of yoga, I subsequently completed the Level One teacher training course in Pittsburgh with Sean and Karen Conley from Amazing Yoga. In February 2013, I completed my Level Two Teacher training course in Maya Tulum, Mexico also through Amazing Yoga. I have participated in workshops with Baron Baptiste, Gregor Singleton, Claire Este-McDonald and Girish.

I love the practice of yoga. For 75 minutes, I am in an environment that allows me to quiet my mind and just be with the flow of my breath, something I hope every student will experience.

Mary Katharine Soboleski

RYT 200 & Certified Baptiste Teacher

Mary’s love for yoga began the first time she rolled out her mat in a hot power class in 2011. A healing process started when she discovered that pushing herself to a physical edge, allowed buried emotions to rise to the surface, to be felt and released. Inspired by great teachers at her studio, Mary found her way to Level 1 training in 2012 with Baptiste Yoga Institute. She overcame many fears just to get there. During training, she was challenged emotionally to make connections with strangers, confront pains from her past and step outside her comfort zone to discover inner strength she had covered up inside. These life altering shifts drove her commitment to Baptiste Yoga and the self inquiry work it takes to remove emotional blocks. Mary also attended Baptiste Level 2 Training, Art of Assisting and several other Baptiste trainings that lead her to becoming a Certified Baptiste Teacher in September of 2016. Mary is passionate about sharing the Baptiste Methodology with her students and fellow teachers. As a teacher, she strives to challenge her students to discover their edge to realize their full potential. She encourages them to step outside their comfort zone, to be open to new possibilities and to let their inner light shine both on their mat and in their life.

Melissa Zinna

RYT 200

Melissa loves yoga because it teaches her to live life from the inside out. After years of dance training, Melissa was looking for something that gave her that same powerful form of expression. She had contemplated trying yoga for years, but hesitated because she thought it would be too slow paced for her liking. So instead, when Melissa stopped dancing after college, she began running and completing high intensity interval training workouts. She enjoyed the athleticism that came with both, but still felt like something was missing. Finally a friend asked her to try a power yoga class. Walking out of the studio after her first class, Melissa was dripping with sweat and beaming with a smile full of fulfillment. Melissa began practicing yoga 4-6 times a week from that day forward and continues to be awestruck by yoga’s power to heal, strengthen and detoxify her from the inside out.

While living near Philadelphia, Melissa completed her 200 Hour Power Yoga teacher training at Power Yoga Works and Childlight Children's Yoga certification. Originally from Erie, Melissa recently has moved back with her husband to be closer to family. Outside of yoga, Melissa worked as an elementary school teacher for the past six years. She has found bringing yoga to children to be an asset in creating a more positive, peaceful, and productive learning environment. She feels blessed to be a lifelong learner in all aspects of her life and hopes to inspire others to do the same. Her intention is to continue on the path of learning, growing and transforming and she is extremely grateful to be a part of the yogaErie community.

Katie Froehlich

After years of dance and distance running, Katie experienced power yoga for the first time and was intrigued. She loved the way it integrated components of these two sports by combining strength and grace, and admired her teachers ability to engage both body, mind and spirit. Slowly, that amazing "feeling" she got after a yoga class started to create tangible changes in her life. Yoga resonates with her passions to explore that which connects us to each other, to restore balance and to continually grow.
Katie completed her 200-hour teacher training in Power Vinyasa at CorePower in Chicago. As an occupational therapist working with individuals with neurological impairments recover functional abilities, her belief is that the human body is capable of limitless progress and unimaginable strength. With emphasis on alignment and self-discovery, she enjoys creating environments for all to thrive.

Danielle Yeager

Danielle discovered yoga while practicing Crossfit.  Due to the intensity of Crossfit workouts, more and more gyms are incorporating yoga to increase flexibility and balance. She completed a weekend long Yoga training with AAAI/ISMA in hopes to take the yoga back to the Crossfit “box”. Danielle discovered the true meaning of Yoga once she joined the yogaErie family.  From her first steps into yogaErie she knew there was something different, the uplifting and positive atmosphere had her hooked!  Her mind and body felt better than it ever had. After practicing yoga for a year she took her Level 1 training with Amazing Yoga in beautiful Pura Vida Costa Rica.

Born and raised in Erie, Danielle grew up with a love for the outdoors and her parents love for music that you can find incorporated into her teaching. Currently Danielle works for the Barber National Institute as a Family Based Mental Health Therapist where she is able to help others and be creative while doing so.  She helps families build stronger relationships with themselves and one another.  Through teaching yoga she strives to create the atmosphere for others to find happiness from within.

Michelle Curtze

Five years ago, Michelle found herself in her first hot yoga class.  After just one class, she was hooked.  After a lifetime of athletics, yoga seemed to be the next natural step.  Following four years of practice, she began teacher training.  In 2014, she completed her 200 hour teacher training through Yogafit and 100 hours through Amazing Yoga. 

Michelle is a highly energetic, enthusiastic individual with a zest for life.  She believes in the endless possibilities and potential in every human being.  Her favorite quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson, who wrote: “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm!”  She has found that the practice of yoga serves her physical, emotional and spiritual needs. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm, energy and love of yoga through all her classes at yogaErie. 

In addition to teaching yoga, Michelle has her Masters in Clinical Psychology and works as a Licensed Professional Counselor in her own private practice.  She is also a Certified Daring Way Facilitator Candidate providing training for The Daring Way™ Curriculum.

Kara Lynn Bednarek

Kara Lynn began her yoga journey years ago in Ithaca, NY practicing Bikram Yoga.  The heat of the studio mixed with warm guidance from the instructor proved to draw out something more than her usual running routine and she was hooked.  In 2011, Kara Lynn moved to Northwestern PA and found yogaErie.  It was there that she started a vinyasa practice and learned to synchronize breath and movement.  After one particular evening of blended heat, breath, movement and instructor insight, something was sparked.  Kara Lynn was compelled to figure out how this practice was helping her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat.  In 2013, Kara Lynn completed RYT-200 in Erie, PA with Satya Yoga.  Then in 2016, Kara Lynn completed an additional 100 hours through Level One - Vinyasa Power Yoga Training - with Amazing Yoga in Pittsburgh, PA.  What Kara Lynn has learned is that she will always be a student of yoga and is grateful for the wisdom of her teachers and students continue to share with her.  In return, it is her wish that you leave your mat feeling refreshed, strengthened and balanced.  Outside of teaching yoga, Kara Lynn lives in Fairview with her fiance, Steve.  She has a grown daughter, Ashley, who is her greatest gift.  In addition, Kara Lynn is a Usui Reiki Master, certified as a practitioner and teacher offering individual Reiki sessions and trainings.  She also holds a B.S. in Human Biology and Health from Cornell University and has enjoyed a career in medical sales, training and recruitment for the past 15 years.
