“I’ve never taken a yoga class and I am nervous to get started.” No need to be nervous – our classes are taught in a muliti-level format, offering modifications for beginners and options for deepening postures for the more experienced student. We have new students in nearly every class and our studio is very welcoming. No egos, no attitude. Just yoga. Basics classes every Saturday morning are perfect for the beginning student. We also offer Alignment workshops and Yoga 101 for the brand new students to try.
“I don’t want to be next to someone that is better than me.” Students are encouraged to keep their eyes on their own mat and honor their own practice. We are all here to support each other…we have created a very non competitive environment in which to nurture our own practice.
“Yoga is for women.” That’s just ridiculous. Some of the greatest yogis have been men. And some of them practice at yogaErie!
